What to expect at your visit

Please be aware that if your eyes need to be dilated, the dilation drops take 20-30 minutes to work and expect to be in the office for an hour.

You will want to bring a pair of sunglasses to wear while driving home.  Your near vision may be blurry after dilation for about 2-3 hours.

Refraction is when the doctor checks to see if a prescription is needed.  This is not covered by Medicare and some commercial insurance plans.

We encourage patients to know their insurance coverage before coming in for their visit.

Cancellation Policy

Our goal is to provide excellent care to each patient in a timely manner. In order for us to do this, we ask that you inform us if you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment. Your notification allows us to proactively fill that available appointment by serving another patient in need of our care.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please call the office at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. You will incur a $50.00 cancellation fee if you cancel/reschedule less than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment (late cancellation) AND/OR fail to arrive at the designated date and/or time of your appointment (missed appointment). Cancellation fees are billed directly to you/the patient (not your insurance) and are due prior to your next scheduled visit.

EXISTING CONTACT LENS WEARERS

If you are an existing contact lens wearer, the fee for the contact lens exam will be between $50-150 collected at the time of visit.  The contact lens exam is a separate exam and not covered by insurance.
This fee is waived if you purchase a year supply of contact lenses through our office within 3 months of your fitting exam.
